Amethyst Eyes, CH. 1As people flocked to churches across the world every Sunday, Azrael watched. They prayed desperately, and he heard all their prayers. All the words of praise and worship from people around the world to a being they called God, Jesus, Jehovah, Allah, and many others- he heard them. He watched as they purified the souls of their children in this diety's name, thanked it for blessing them with the good in their lives, and called out to it in times of crisis. He also watched them murder one another for disagreeing over this being's name, purpose and nature, and not only could he do nothing to stop it, he never could understand it in the first plaAmethyst Eyes, CH. 1

Amethyst Eyes CH.2The night was annoyingly clear and calm as Fae sat outside on her front steps, leaned against the brick building of her apartment. She wished it would storm, at least rain. The fact that the weather was so calm and serene made her bitter, as she was positively raging inside. She watched all the cars drive by, drivers totally unaware and uncaring of her situation, focusing only on their safe and comfortable lives. A few people even walked by her and looked at her, saw her sobbing, bruised and bloody, but nobody said a word.
